Canadian Agricultural Loans Act (CALA)

CALA is a Government of Canada program offered through Advantage Credit Union which provides loans to farmers and agricultural co-operatives. This program is for existing and beginning/start-up farmers that require assistance in financing the purchase of equipment, land, livestock and other farm-related purchases that qualify under the CALA program. AgriInvest

A Government of Canada initiative through Agriculture and AgriFood Canada (AAFC) where producers can deposit into an AgriInvest savings account, providing flexible coverage for smaller income declines. AgriInvest producer accounts can now be held at Advantage Credit Union. These deposits are off-set by matching contributions from the Government. In order to open this account at the credit union, you must produce a signed original AAFC-issued AgriInvest Account Initiation Form. Come in and open your account today at your local Advantage Credit Union branch.
