Automated Banking Machines (ABM)

 

Credit Union ABMs allow you to handle your finances with speed, convenience and privacy around the clock, every day of the year. All you need is a Member Cardâ debit card or a Global Payment MasterCardâ along with a Personal Identification Number (PIN), which allows you access to cash and deposit services at any credit union ABM in Saskatchewan. You can also access your accounts for cash withdrawals at any ABM within the INTERAC Network in Canada or CIRRUS Network worldwide. Branch and ATM Locations

Round-the-clock convenience at your fingertips. It’s easy to use and provides access to your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through any touch-tone phone. Your own confidential Member Access Code (MAC) allows only you to access your account.

  • Obtain current account balances at the touch of single button without stepping through menus
  • Request your account history.
  • Request statement history by fax with fax-tracking of all information requested during the session.
  • Transfer funds between accounts and memberships including inter-customer transfers.
  • Make your loan payments.
  • Pay your bills with the option to future date. Hundreds of vendors are listed with new vendors being added all the time. A great feature for snowbirds and vacationers.
  • Inquire, create, and remove Stop Payments.

Recent enhancements include:

  • Enhanced transaction search capability.
  • Ability to switch to another account without having to hang up and redial.
  • Report lost or missing debit, payment or credit cards.

MemberDirect® is our free on-line banking service. You may pay bills, make your loan payments, get your statement information, transfer funds, plus have access to many other services. All of this is available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Visit your local Advantage Credit Union branch to receive your personal access code and start E-banking today.

Features:

  • Create new chequing, savings, term deposit, and RRSP accounts.
  • Now that you receive imaged cheques in your statement, you can also view images of your cheques (front and back) on-line (click on the word “Cheque”).
  • Obtain RRSP and RRIF contract information.
  • Obtain current deposit and foreign exchange rates.
  • Obtain up-to-the-minute account balances.
  • Transfer funds between accounts and even between memberships; includes future dated and recurring transfers, with options to view and modify recurring transfers.
  • Review and print your statement information.
  • Statements can be downloaded in Comma Delimited text (CSV).
  • Pay bills using a bill payment list you create; includes future dated bill payments, with options to view and modify pending payments.
  • Make your loan payments.
  • Export account history to selected personal financial management packages, including Simply Accounting, Microsoft Money, Quicken, and QuickBooks.
    Just select to have the data in a different format as follows:

-          Log on to MemberDirect®.

-          From the Accounts Summary screen, select Account Activity from the links on the left side of the screen.

-          From the Account Activity screen, select the account you want the statement for.

-          Change the start and end dates to display the date range for which you wish to create the statement.

-          In the Activity Format section, click the drop down arrow and select the program you wish to import the data to.

-          Click the Submit button and you will be prompted to save a file to disk. This is the statement data which you will import into your financial program.

-          Click Save to Disk and OK, choose a location on your hard disk to save the file in.

  • Once you have saved the file, you will need to refer to the user guide for your financial program for information on importing data from a file.
  • Create or remove Stop Payments on cheques
  • View your MasterCard® Credit Card balance as well as your investments with Ethical Funds and Credential Portfolios.

Security:

·         128 Bit encryption

·         Requires a unique logon ID and password

·         Browser-based service which means you can access Internet Banking without downloading software

If you have problems accessing MemberDirect®, please note the system requirements below.

 

Minimum Hardware Requirements:

·         VGA or higher resolution monitor

·         An Internet connection with a minimum speed of 33.6Kbps

 

PC users also require: Pentium processor, 16 MB ram memory, Windows 98 or newer, and one of either Internet Explorer or Netscape (See browser requirements below) with 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption enabled.

 

MAC users also require: Power PC G3 or higher, 32 MB ram memory, System 7.X operating system, either Internet Explorer or Netscape (See browser requirements below) with 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption enabled.

 

Minimum Browser Requirements:

If you are having trouble accessing the online banking system it may be because you need a browser upgrade.

 

·         Internet Explorer: Internet Explorer v 6.0 or higher.  To download the latest version of Internet Explorer 6.0 from Microsoft that includes 128-bit encryption [Click Here].

·         Netscape: Netscape v 6.2 or higher.  To download the latest version of Netscape that includes 128-bit encryption [Click Here].

How to check the ENCRYPTION STRENGTH of your browser?

If you are having trouble accessing the online banking system it may be because you need higher encryption security levels.

 

·         Internet Explorer: Click on HELP in the top menu of your browser window. From the dropdown menu choose ABOUT INTERNET EXPLORER. A popup menu will appear that will supply you with the CIPHER STRENGTH (encryption level) of your browser. Our online banking system requires a 128-bit encryption level. If you are not currently running 128-bit encryption level you will need to complete a browser

 

·         Netscape Navigator: If you are using Netscape Communicator you must upgrade to version 6.2
